BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about where to take your partner, family or friends.
If you’re stuck and have no idea where to take your special someone, look no further. We asked around and gathered some great ideas on where to go and what to do.
You can impress your partner on Valentine’s Day by visiting one of the city’s top restaurants — a classic event. Here is a list of some of the restaurants in town:
Stay Latin American Food: A few reviews on Yelp say that the ambiance of the restaurant is great and it’s a good night club.
According to the website, the restaurant serves brunch and dinner with a variety of alcoholic beverages.
For dinner, the restaurant offers seafood, soups and salads, steaks and desserts. For brunch, the restaurant offers eggs and sweet and healthy dishes.
General manager Benjamin Alvarado said that on Valentine’s Day, guests can expect a romantic atmosphere and that most of the bookings on that day are for couples.
The restaurant is still deciding what decorations to use, but like every day, there will be candles on the tables and the lights will be dimmed, Alvarado said.

Uricchio’s Trattoria: According to Yelp, Uricchio’s Trattoria is a small restaurant but the lighting makes it romantic.
A Yelp reviewer said they celebrated their original Valentine’s Day dinner last year and the staff made sure the place was cozy and the food was delicious.
The restaurant’s menu includes soups and appetizers, such as crab cakes, Italian sausage and Mozzarella Marinara. For entrees, there are a variety of salads, including Chicken Cesar Salad, Iceberg Lettuce Wedge Salad and Peanut Butter Chicken Salad.

The botanist: Although The Botanist is new in town, early reviews are good. Several reviewers on Yelp said they enjoyed the “vibes” and “atmosphere.” The restaurant is even named “class”.
In this restaurant, you can find some drinks and even “Love Potions” which include, “Love Potion #9”, and “Twin Flame”, according to the menu of the restaurant.
The menu includes snacks, such as flat bread, olives and brie. You can also find a few salads at the restaurant such as the wedge salad and “The Botanist Salad”, which includes arugula, greens, seasonal vegetables and a ginger miso dressing. If you want something different, the restaurant has vegan options, steak, salmon and fish and chips.

Museum: There are a variety of museums in the city and district that you can visit if you like or maybe add to a day.

Murray Family Farm: There is a Valentine’s Day travel event, according to the organizers. k
The event will take place at the Big Red Barn from 11 to 13 February and 18 to 20 hours from 11 am to 5 pm.
Activities include food, hayrides and all the usual farm activities in addition to a paintball and vortex gallery.
Tickets will be available at the door or on the website.
