Volunteers need to deliver food, visit long-term care residents

Volunteer Center of Reno County, United Way Agency, central clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities in Reno County. WHEEL DRIVE AND DELIVERY Volunteers are needed in teams of two at lunchtime each day. One volunteer runs the route and another delivers the food to the home. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and volunteer drivers must have a valid driver’s license.

LONG-TERM CUSTODY OMBUDSMEN They are needed to protect and defend the rights, dignity and safety of residents in long-term care facilities by making weekly visits to their assigned facility. Volunteers must undergo 30 hours of training and successfully complete the screening process.
