The XYZ Tavern

On Saturdays and Sundays, this spot in the city’s Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood offers some delicious morning brunch options.

Customers have raved about their Country Fried Chicken and Waffles (which is served with gravy and maple syrup), corned beef hash (which is made with two perfectly poached eggs, potatoes and onions and comes with Creole mustard sauce on the side) and eggs benedict, which many say is among the best in Greater Cleveland.

The sleepy rooster

Located in suburban Chagrin Falls, this restaurant prides itself on making delicious breakfasts.

Customers say you can’t go wrong with the chorizo ​​hash and eggs, served with a vibrant citrus-herb gremolata. You should also check out their delicious take on Eggs Benedict, which uses a fresh biscuit instead of the regular English muffin and includes a perfectly poached egg, avocado, hollandaise sauce and your choice of meat (bacon, sausage or smoked salmon).

The Sleepy Rooster is also one of the few places in Northeast Ohio that offers homemade goetta, a German breakfast sausage made with beef, pork, steel-cut oats, onions and spices. Get goetta with eggs and toast or in a biscuit breakfast sandwich with eggs and American cheese.

If you want an excellent breakfast sandwich, you should check out this place in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. Their breakfast sandwich has either a fluffy egg bucket or fried egg, cheese and the joint’s signature sunshine sauce.

Check out the Betty, which also comes with hickory smoked bacon that’s made in-house. The Shirley is also fantastic and comes with all-beef bologna made in-house, caramelised onions and tomato marmalade. There is also the option of building your own breakfast sandwich.
