The Texas Crab Company in Seguin, Texas is known for its huge seafood meals

Seguin, Texas – There’s a Seguin restaurant that an onlooker told us we had to visit. They’ve gained a loyal following since they were once a food truck, and they’ve been traveling to small Texas towns for community service. Now, they have their first brick and mortar on 350 N Hwy 123 Bypass.

It’s called the Texas Crab Company. They brand their food as “Cajun style,” but with a Lone Star State twist.

“Our stakes are bigger because everything is bigger in Texas,” said owner Ruben Garcia. “But we add our own spices to up the spiciness level; to make it spicier.”

They tossed spicy butter over a plate of lobster and shrimp. It’s one of six types of butter you can get!

“We have Cajun butter, we have lemon butter, we have honey butter, we have garlic, and then we have natural butter,” Garcia said.

“We chop it up, batter it and fry it, and pair it with six fried shrimp, hash browns, hash puppies, lemon, and then some honey butter,” Garcia said. “You have to put honey butter on it.”

“A few clients have asked for it,” Garcia said. “We’ve got fried oysters, and we’ve got fried lobster, and we put it together.”

Loyal food truck customers continue to support the business, even if it means driving across town, or across the state to have fun.

“We were going all over the place and everyone started hearing about us, following us. And in our first year of business, we jumped into the bricks and mortar,” Garcia said. “We still trailer to this day. We still go to all these little towns and we still do great food there.”

It’s officially, or should we say, o-fish-ially become a staple in Texas.

“This work means a lot because I put my heart and soul into it. This is my passion. I love it,” GarcĂa said. “I love getting up, coming here. I’ve got a great staff. Everyone here is family.”
