Sauce Magazine – 18 Places to Celebrate the 314th in St. Louis

Tuesday, March 14th, is our 314th Anniversary, an all-encompassing celebration of all things STL. You’ll find events, deals, and discounts being offered all over town covering everything from music and sports to fashion and dining. Of course, in Sauce we’re more interested in the latter, so here’s a guide on how restaurants, bars, and events can celebrate the 314th with food and drink.

314 days of work and leisure experience
Hosted by Bradenstl and Chef Juwan Rice, this event at Work & Leisure features samples to taste from a number of local restaurants. The event will also include entertainment that celebrates the best that our local culture has to offer. Organizers also plan to raise funds to cater a special meal for students of CVPA High School and the School of Medicine and Biological Sciences Collegiate School, following the tragic school shootings in October 2022. Some of the participating local brands include My Li, Nudo House, Clementine Naughty & Nice Creamery, Lucia’s Pizza, and Old Vienna and 4 Hands Brewing Co. and Switchgrass Spirits. Alpha Brewing Company
A number of treats are available at Alpha Brewing Co. for just $3.14 each, including single Alpha tacos, dessert, and keg pints of Boat or Fyler Flyer beer.

Butler store
Order a pie for $20 at Butler’s Pantry. Three flavors are offered: lemon, cherry, and chocolate cream. Online ordering is available here.

Eckert Farm
Eckert’s Farm is celebrating Pi Day by buying one, get one free on Eckert’s favorite Dutch apple pie. In order to qualify for the deal, orders must be submitted for pickup by Tuesday, March 14th. A portion of sales proceeds will be donated to STEM STL.

High Point Drive Inn

Taco Joint Mission
Taco Joint’s mission has been bringing back roasted taco ravioli for 314 days. The taco’s building blocks are Italian-marinated beef served on a crispy corn tortilla topped with Parmesan cheese, with toppings including shredded prosciutto, parsley, parmesan, and marinara sauce. Nudo House
At Nudo House, March 14th is 3-1 PHO Day! This year, the restaurant is celebrating the day with a special lobster photo, a nod to owner Qui Tran’s collaboration a few years ago with New York City’s Ed’s Lobster Bar.
