Tom Hardy is known for his fit physique and alpha males.

Popularly known for his roles in venom and warriorTom Hardy has wowed viewers with his alpha male roles and stunning stone-carved body.

An avid martial arts enthusiast, Hardy recently won a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (blue belt) tournament held by Ultimate Martial Art Championships at Oakgrove School in Milton Keynes, England.

Hardy’s Transformation for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

To get into Bane’s character The Dark Knight RisesHardy had to train four times a week to build 30 pounds of raw muscle.

He followed a hypertrophy-oriented training program and increased his weight from 76 to 90 kilograms.

Each session involved some isometric exercises and complex movements using barbells, machines, dumbells and his own body weight.

On the first day, Hardy focused on his chest and triceps, doing barbell bench presses, low cable flights, downward cranial pushers, dips, and incline barbell chests.

On day two, targeting his lower body, he did barbell squats, deadlifts, leg presses, etc.

On day three, he focused on traps and shoulders, and day four was devoted to his back and biceps.

Hardy discovered Brazilian jiu-jitsu while training for ‘Warrior’

Hardy discovered the sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu while training for his role in the 2011 film warrior.

He then developed a love for the martial arts and continued to train after the production wrapped.

Last weekend he took part in a grappling match in Milton Keynes, England.

He won all competitions and was awarded a championship in his division.

Hardy eats six meals a day.

Meal one includes whole eggs, egg whites, brown toast, and mixed fruits and nuts.

His second meal consists of lean steak, brown rice and grilled asparagus.

Meal three has a protein shake and meal four has chicken breast, brown rice and grilled vegetables.

Meal five includes a tuna sandwich and the final meal is oatmeal with whey protein and blueberries.
