An aperitif ad came out in Viva Fall River this week: Bring out your stretchy pants because Fall River Restaurant Week is back! From Friday, March 24 through Sunday, April 2, sample everything the city has to offer as you take a flavor-packed tour of the Fall River restaurant scene. The event includes $15 lunch specials and two-course meals, $30 dinner specials and three-course meals at 22 participating restaurants. Is it ice cream or poultry? Appearances can be deceiving with a new Ice ‘N’ Roll special meant to mess with your mind. This Fall River store is introducing its own version of the viral fried chicken ice cream, a dessert innovation that’s winning over the Internet. The popular TikTok recipe uses vanilla ice cream and white chocolate topped with cornflakes, with a Twix Candy center to imitate the bones. It looks like chicken, but it sure isn’t. Try Ice ‘N’ Roll’s with a side of waffle cone fries. Both are available starting Friday, March 10th, through Sunday, March 12th, with limited supplies. So grab your drumstick while you hold up. Ice ‘N’ Roll is located at 4263 North Main St., Fall River.

St. Paddy’s lunch at the top centers

The Big Four at Fall River Council On Aging will be serving delicious lunches this March for St. Patrick’s Day. On Wednesday, March 15, get your beef and cabbage with all the fixings and dessert at Niagara Senior Center (508-324-2717). On Thursday, March 16, head to the North End Senior Center for a Reuben sandwich with potato salad (508-324-2711). The Flint Senior Center will be bringing traditional combination beef and cabbage on Thursday, March 16 (508-324-2712). And on Friday, March 17, South Main Senior Center will be serving beef and cabbage (508-324-2715). Registration is encouraged so that coordinators know the amount of preparation and the cost, which ranges from $5 to $7.
