Pierce Brosnan was confronted by activists at a seafood restaurant
Pierce Brosnan was confronted by vegan activists while eating at a seafood restaurant with his wife.
The James Bond star was having dinner at London’s prestigious Scots restaurant in Mayfair when he was occupied by the protest movement Animal Rebellion – which works in alliance with climate change protesters Extinction Rebellion – and staged a sit-in at the venue.
Animal Rebellion posted a video of Brosnan, 69, to her Twitter account with a James Bond tune playing in the background.
One of the activists can be seen talking to the actor while in another part of the video someone can be heard calling “James Bond” to the actor in the background of the footage as his hand is placed in front of the camera.

Brosnan was having dinner with his 59-year-old wife, journalist Kelly Shay Smith.
He’s in the UK filming a new movie, The Four Letters Of Love in Northern Ireland.
Police were called to the restaurant and footage shows protesters sitting on benches outside the venue.
The group said the protest was held in solidarity with member Emma Smart, who was found innocent of antisocial behavior after being arrested for approaching Sir David Attenborough while he was dining at Weymouth seafood restaurant Catch at the Old Fish Market in November 2022.
Protesters wanted to highlight the impact of the fishing industry on climate change.
Activist Louisa Hailwood, a 28-year-old primary school teacher, said: “We are peacefully occupying tables at Scott’s to make a definitive statement that no seafood is sustainable.
“Restaurants like this are symbols of horrific inequality, whether it be the cost-of-living crisis, the climate emergency, or the animal emergency.
“We know that transitioning to a plant-based diet would support fishing communities in sustainable jobs while providing abundant, affordable and nutritious food, not to mention the benefits of restoring marine life.”
Emma Smart, 45, was arrested at a Michelin-starred seafood restaurant in Dorset last year after she tried to deliver a letter to environmentalist Attenborough while he was dining there.
She was acquitted of violating a Section 35 dismissal order in Poole Magistrates Court on Friday 17 March.

Footage of the incident showed her repeatedly shouting: “David Attenborough, my name is Emma Smart, I’m a scientist”, before being “pulled off” by police officers and the restaurant owner.
