This dairy-free and gluten-free winter recipe is a different kind of summer turkey stir-fry but with sweet potatoes, and it has the perfect mix of protein, carbs, and fat. These sweet potato and black bean dishes are also similar, but faster and made in a single skillet. It’s versatile, so you can swap out a few ingredients depending on what you have on hand, and it reheats really well, so leftovers are delicious. Ingredients for a ground turkey fryer

  • Wild Turkey: Get 93% ground turkey.
  • an onion: Chop a quarter cup of white, yellow or red onions.
  • Tomato paste: Fry two tablespoons of tomato paste with onions. Don’t know what to do with the remaining paste? Freeze them in ice cube trays to have on hand for future recipes.
  • sweet potato: Peel two medium potatoes and cut them into half-inch pieces.
  • black beans: Rinse and dry canned black beans.
  • corn: Use fresh or frozen corn kernels.
  • Tomatoes: Cut a large tomato into cubes.
  • Jalapeno: Keep the seeds and ribs in the peppers for a spicier meal or remove them if you prefer lighter dishes.
  • garlic: Chop one clove.
  • coriander: Add fresh cilantro to the skillet and garnish with more. If you don’t like cilantro, ignore it.
  • spices: Cumin, salt
  • Chicken broth: Feel free to chop up the vegetable broth if that’s what you have on hand.
  • Entrees: Served with lemon slices and avocado slices.

How to make a ground turkey fryer

  • turkey: Brown the turkey in a large skillet over high heat and season with salt and cumin.
  • onion: After about five minutes, push the meat aside and cook the onion and tomato paste for a minute.
  • remaining ingredients: Add the sweet potatoes, beans, corn, tomatoes, jalapenos, garlic and cilantro, stir in the broth, and season with the rest of the salt and cumin.
  • simmer: Cover the skillet and simmer for 12 to 14 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Serve the turkey mixture with lime wedges, cilantro, and avocado.

  • 14 ounce sweet potatoAnd Peeled and cut 1/2 inch into two medium pieces
  • 1 fairy 93% ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 3/4 cups Canned black beansAnd It is rinsed and dried
  • 3/4 cups Corn kernelsAnd fresh or frozen
  • 1 Large chopped tomato
  • 1 jalapenoAnd cubes
  • 1 clove garlicAnd minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantroAnd Plus more to decorate
  • 1 1/2 small spoon cumin
  • 1 1/4 small spoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • lemon wedgesAnd to apply
  • 4 ounce avocadoAnd sliced
  • Spray a large skillet over high heat with oil and brown the turkey, seasoning with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon cumin.

  • Cook meat cracker until turkey is cooked through, about 5 minutes.

  • Push the meat to one side, drizzle the other side with oil, add the onions and tomato paste, and cook for 1 minute.

  • Add the sweet potatoes, black beans, corn, tomatoes, jalapeños, garlic, and cilantro and stir with the chicken broth.

  • Add a quarter of a teaspoon of salt or to taste and cumin.

  • Mix, cover, and cook 12 to 14 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender.

  • Serve with lemon wedges and cilantro.
