Ocean Spray Selects Veteran Mars as CEO, Global Growth | Food Business News
Bobby Chacko has been named Senior Vice President, Senior Global Growth Officer, Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc.
LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, BLOCK. Bobby Chacko has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Global Growth Officer of Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. , a cooperative owned by more than 700 cranberry growers and a leading producer of cranberry food and beverage products. In his new role, he will oversee the global marketing, insights, and innovation teams of the collaborative and will report to Randy Papadillis, President and CEO.
Mr. Chacko joined Ocean Spray from Mars Drinks North America, a division of Mars, Inc. Most recently, he held the position of Regional President and General Manager. He was previously Chief Global Marketing Officer at Mars Drinks. He has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and leadership experience spanning strategy, innovation, marketing and marketing at companies including The Coca-Cola Company, AB Inbev and GE Capital.
“Bobby’s track record in the global food and beverage industry speaks for itself,” said Papadilis. “While Ocean Spray is traditionally a strong company in North America, it is poised for significant global growth, and Bobby’s unique experience in reshaping brands and developing innovation strategies in multiple markets and categories will accelerate this.”

In addition to the appointment of Mr. Chacko, Ocean Spray announced other recent changes to its leadership team. Daniel Crocker has progressed to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Chief Customer Officer. He will lead a global team of customers bringing Co-op’s suite of branded products and value-added ingredients to over 150 markets. He began his career with Ocean Spray more than a decade ago, most recently serving as Vice President of Collaborative Development and Global Ingredients.

Tara Levine has been named Vice President of Corporate Strategy. A 10-year veteran of Ocean Spray, she most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Ocean Spray’s Europe, Middle East and Africa. In her new role, she will oversee corporate strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, e-commerce, communications and health strategies.

Peter Wyman has assumed the position of Senior Vice President, Collaborative Development. A 25-year veteran of Ocean Spray, he most recently served as Senior Vice President, Global Business Development. In his new role, he will oversee Farmer Relations, Agricultural Supply Strategy, Government Relations and Sustainability.
Mr. Crocker, Ms. Levin and Mr. Wyman will report to Mr. Papadilis.
