Caliente Pizza & Draft House is selling Ed Sheeran-inspired pizza for National Pi Day

The club isn’t the best place to find love, but Caliente is the best place to find pizza inspired by pop star Ed Sheeran. The chain has prepared a deal for National Pi Day in honor of Sheeran’s math tour, which takes place on July 8 at Acrisure Stadium. On Tuesday, March 14th only, Caliente is offering “Caliente’s signature crust, crushed plum tomato sauce, Calabrese Soppressata, roasted red pepper mix, fresh mozzarella and provolone.” Pie pies come in large sizes for $20.
The promotion also includes a chance for customers to win free concert tickets to Sheeran’s Pittsburgh show. Follow Caliente’s social media accounts as every Pi Day pizza post will have a chance to win.

East Liberty will soon welcome Cinnaholic, an Atlanta-based bakery chain that will offer “plant-based, allergen-friendly cinnamon rolls and other delicious desserts seven days a week” in the launch. Visit Eastside Bond Development on Friday, March 17 for the store’s grand opening, where from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., every guest can enjoy one of Cinnaholic’s signature cinnamon rolls for $2. The location marks the beginning of a Pennsylvania expansion for Cinnaholic, which currently has more than 70 locations across the United States and Canada.

Do you smell salt water? That’s because Picklesburg, Pittsburgh’s award-winning specialty food festival, is coming back soon. The Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership has announced that this year’s event will take place July 21st through July 23rd. The PDP release promises that the 2023 festival will include “dozens of live music performances along with popular events like Pickle Cocktails, Pickle Beer.” , a pickle juice drinking contest, and tons of pickle apparel, merchandise, and more. The location has yet to be determined and more details about the “expanded” 2023 event will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Pittsburgh-based bagel company has announced that it is now accepting pre-orders for its pastries. In a recent Instagram post, Dove Bagels takes orders at least two days in advance for a selection of classic pastries, as well as breads and rolls. Other items that can be pre-ordered are cookies, rugelach, pastries, chocolate babka, and more.
412 Food Rescue x Cinderlands Beer x Dianoia’s Eatery

Three local organizations are teaming up again to fight hunger while rescuing discarded food. 412 Food Rescue, Cinderlands Beer and Dianoia’s Eatery have created Con Pane, an IPA beer described as being made from recycled bread made from Dianoia and flaked rye. The trio is making and distributing the brew for the second time, with proceeds supporting 412 Food Rescue. Con Pane can be purchased from Cinderland. Cans are also available at DiAnoia’s, many local Giant Eagle and Whole Foods stores, and small beer distributors.

Simply Burgers, a new place specializing in smashburgers, launched on March 10 as part of the Market House concept in the area. Diners can dine on the lower level of the Bierport, which is directly connected to the single-screen boutique cinema, Row House Cinema.
