List of entertainment events within the Feel Winter in Qatar campaign

As part of the ‘Feel the Winter in Qatar’ campaign, Qatar Tourism’s latest initiative, an exciting list of family-friendly festivals and events is scheduled for the coming months.

The list of events is given below:

Qatar Balloon Festival

The 10-day festival will include enchanting sunrise balloon launches, Night Glow, Tethered Lights, live entertainment and food stalls and gourmet trucks. All hot air balloon rides will be launched during sunrise giving riders an amazing view of Doha. Visitors who turn up in the evening will enjoy the enchanting “Night Glow” experience, where all 50 balloons will light up the night sky with their vibrant designs. The festival also includes a variety of performances from DJs, singers, bands, dancers, magic shows, violinists, and much more.

Qatar Live

Following on from the successful program during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar Tourism’s ‘Feel the Winter in Qatar’ campaign will see a dynamic line-up of live performances by local, regional and international artists through the main activation, Qatar Live starting January 26 and lasting throughout the season.

Disney princess party

An exciting production of the world-famous Disney Princess – The Concert to Doha will take place at Katara Amphitheatre, in partnership with Disney Concerts and Broadway Entertainment Group.

For three nights, from January 26-28, some of Broadway and the West End’s most celebrated performers will perform this unique tribute to the Disney Princesses alongside a live orchestral performance by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.

GKA Kitesurfing Championship

Qatar Tourism Authority is hosting the Water Sports World Cup in Doha, kicking off the new year with exciting sporting events. Fuwairit Kite Beach will host the GKA 2023 Freestyle Soccer World Cup from January 31 to February 4, 2023.

Qatar Total Energy Open (Tennis)

World No. 1 and Polish champion Iga Switek, along with eight other top-10 players in the world, has been confirmed for Qatar. The 21st edition of the Women’s Professional Tennis Championship will be held on the outdoor hard courts of the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex from 13 to 18 February 2023.

Doha Jewelery and Watches Exhibition

With nearly two decades of being the epitome of luxury and elegance in Qatar, the Doha Jewelery & Watches Exhibition amazes everyone with its unique exhibition of exclusive jewelery and exquisite craftsmanship. The event will take place from 20 to 25 February 2023 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. This year’s edition will include luxury watches, necklaces, rings, earrings, diamonds, gold and silver. The exhibition will host 500 brands and 30,000 visitors from more than 175 countries.

Qatar ExxonMobil Open (Tennis)

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open is an annual tennis tournament for men and is part of the ATP Tour 250, which will be held this year from February 20 to 25, 2023 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The first edition was held in 1993, and since then it has become an event regularly attended by some of the sport’s top players.

The Qatar Tennis Federation has successfully positioned Qatar on the international sporting agenda as the venue for one of the most anticipated professional tennis events of the year. The tournament constantly attracts famous tennis players from all over the world.

Al Shaqab Events

AL SHAQAB kicks off the Qatar 2023 calendar with breathtaking equestrian events, which started with the “Hayyakum at Al Shaqab” event and will continue with CHI AL SHAQAB presented by Longines 2023. It will take place on February 23-25, 2023 at the Longines Outdoor Arena & Longines Indoor Arena in Al Shaqab Brought to you by Commercial Bank (Main Sponsor), Longines (Presenting Partner) and ExxonMobil (Main Sponsor).

Qatar International Food Festival

Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) is Qatar’s tourism initiative that celebrates the country’s diverse food, beverage and hospitality offerings. The twelfth release is scheduled for March 1-11, 2023.

Previous editions of the Food Festival have included special culinary experiences in scenic outdoor locations, a line-up of world-renowned chefs, live cooking demonstrations, cooking competitions, classes and other activities for both families and friends.

Qatar Tourism shop in Qatar

Shop Qatar celebrates the wide range of retail, beauty and entertainment options in the country and wanders around the famous shopping malls in Doha. It is an annual event that aims to enhance the fashion and lifestyle scene in Qatar and highlight its hospitality. At the same time, Shop Qatar offers various engaging workshops and master classes and presents exciting surprises. This year’s edition is scheduled to take place from March 1-18, 2023.

Ramadan Bazaar

Celebrate the most important time of the year with the Ramadan Bazaar for Qatar Tourism where you can spend your evenings, after Iftar, in family-friendly activities across Qatar for the first time. Tourists visiting Qatar during Ramadan can expect to learn about the wonderful traditions and celebrations that this time of year brings to the country and its people.
