The Los Angeles Galaxy recently held a special class for children at Carson School. But the club did not teach elementary school students about football, but about cooking.

The Galaxy partnered with Herbalife Nutrition last week to host a Thanksgiving cooking class for more than 60 students from Leapwood Avenue and Annalee elementary schools.

The cooking class, at the Dignity Health Sports Facility, was attended by chef Matthew Linblom, members of the LA Galaxy and the team’s mascot, Cosmos, who handed out cannolis to the students.

The class, which took place on November 16, about a week before Thanksgiving, was aimed at teaching children how to prepare a holiday meal.
