Legends of Palm Springs
The show features esteemed artists portraying many of Palm Springs’ iconic celebrities. The McCallum Theater will host tributes to Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and more. Tickets for the show are still available in multiple seating options.

OutBook Book Club
The book to be discussed at the next club meeting is The Prophets by Robert Jones Jr. The novel is about the secret intimacy of two people enslaved on a plantation. The OutBook Book Club is sponsored by the Palm Springs Public Library and books are selected by members of the group.

VillageFest
Every Thursday night, Palm Canyon Drive is closed to vehicles so pedestrians can browse the many vendors occupying the VillageFest space. The mix of merchants includes flowers, food, art and jewelry, along with shops for patrons to enjoy, as well as live entertainment.

Artistic walk

First Friday is an art walk along El Paseo featuring gallery exhibitions, artist receptions and more. There will be 15 fine art galleries. People can wander freely through the shopping district of El Paseo for this self-guided art tour. Participating stores will have extended trading hours overnight.

Taste of Jalisco Festival

Honoring Jalisco, Mexico, the 7th annual festival will feature live entertainment, food vendors, tequila tasting and a beer garden. Admission to the festival is free and tickets will be available for many of the carnival rides and games.
When: 4-10 p.m. Friday, February 3, Saturday, February 4, 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Sunday, February 5.

Desert Mountains Art Fair
Discover unique works by local artists in a variety of mediums at the monthly Desert Mountains Art Fair. The event is located at the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center, where you can enjoy the natural desert landscape.

Caliente Doo Wop and Sock Hop
The 2nd annual event celebrates the doo-wop music genre of the 1950s and 60s. There will be a costume contest with three cash prizes and entertainment with music from the era, along with dancing by The Dreamboats and DJ Modgirl.

Evolutionary history of the turtle
Learn about the evolutionary history of tortoises, the ancestors of turtles. The event is free, but RSVP is required for entry. Friends of the Desert Mountains hosts a variety of educational lectures throughout the month, visit the online calendar to learn more.
