Super Nintendo World has been eagerly awaited in Hollywood since Universal Parks signed a deal with Nintendo. There have even been rumors that Universal Studios Hollywood plans to expand Super Nintendo World with an expansion pack by 2025. Still, “gourmets” are waiting for information about Toadstool Café. We wanted to know if the United States versions of video game-themed dishes would match the Japanese versions. This latest article has helped with that discussion.

With Super Nintendo World opening next month at Universal Studios Hollywood, guests will enjoy a highly immersive themed realm based on video games, including Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge. Guests will also find an exciting dinner at the estate’s signature restaurant, Toadstool Cafe.

After entering the mushroom-shaped quick-service restaurant, diners watch a digital depiction of Chef Toad preparing the meals for the day.

This restaurant offers ample seating. Sure, seating might be more substantial, but there’s no extra space at Universal Studios Hollywood. In fact, this place accommodates 265 diners. For those wondering how many seats a similar restaurant in Universals’ Epic Universe can seat, Alicia Stella says the Orlando version will seat 344.

Ceiling features with power up icons and green Warp Pipes. Video screens form “windows” that provide a view of the Mushroom Kingdom video game and even a view of Chef Toad in action. The seating options look worthy of a video game. Of course, a soundtrack of remixed Super Mario Brothers video game soundtrack plays.

The menu here took some key cues from the successes at the Universal Studios Japan location. For example, guests can choose between Piranha Plant Caprese, Mario Burger, Super Star Chicken Salad and Luigi Burger with pesto and chicken. Cathy Chaplin wrote that the mushroom-shaped garlic knots dusted with Parmesan cheese and parsley are made at home, including the accompanying marinara sauce. If you’re looking for something outside of the norm, The Chef Toad Short Rib Special features goat cheese polenta, red wine discount, and sour cream puddles that mimic the namesake character’s hat. But Chaplin wrote that the chef’s specialty will likely change with the seasons, according to a park representative.

Because this is theme park food, the unique desserts tempt you to eat them. Guests can enjoy their meals with pink Princess Peach cupcakes, matcha-covered Mt. They can add dessert in the form of a beanpole cake or a serving of tiramisu that looks like Question Mark Blocks.

This place also offers a special drink. Super Star Lemon Squash comes as a fizzy lemonade drink with boba and star-shaped jellies.
