Fire Department Coffee is releasing a spirit-infused Nitro Cold Brew

ROCKFORD, ILL.— Fire Department Coffee, the veteran-owned brand poised to rescue consumers from regular coffee and another rampant pumpkin spice season, today makes its entry into the ready-to-drink category: Fire Dept. With the release of Coffee Nitro Cold Brew. The cornerstone of the line, Nitro Irish Coffee, is a first-of-its-kind, non-alcoholic, canned Nitro Cold Brew infused with real whiskey and cream. It is now available along with three additional varieties, Nitro-Charged Latte, Nitro-Charged Shellback Espresso and Nitro Vanilla Bean Bourbon, each in 7-ounce single-serve jars exclusively at Distribution will expand to grocers and other national retailers in the coming months.

Fire Dept. Coffee’s innovative flavors and single-serve cans are available at a pivotal moment. Americans have expressed growing frustration with the influx of pumpkin spice-themed product launches, especially coffee, and want to explore better and bolder flavors in the food and beverage category. In its latest survey of 500 Americans, the Coffee Fire Department found:

  • Americans have a burning sensation of pumpkin spice. More than 3 in 1 Americans (37%) surveyed in August, before the peak pumpkin spice season began, said they were tired of hearing about pumpkin spice.
  • The taste that ruins relationships. 1 in Americans polled (11%) said they would consider breaking up with their partner if their views on the taste of pumpkin spice differed, with a majority (52%) saying they would consider breaking up. with a partner if they liked the taste of pumpkin spice.
  • The great debate about pumpkin. 10% of Americans surveyed admitted to arguing with a friend or family member over their opinion of pumpkin spice coffee.
  • Americans are passing on the pumpkin spice latte. Only 1 (26%) of Americans surveyed say they prefer a pumpkin spice latte over a traditional latte.
  • This year’s favorite fall flavor is another fruit. 34% of Americans polled ranked apple pie as their favorite flavor (out of five popular fall flavors). Only 23% of Americans polled said their favorite fall flavor is pumpkin spice.
