If we had daily access to some of the best chefs in the world, we wouldn’t be eating on meal deals for lunch – and the Princess of Wales, Sophie Wessex Where Zara Tindal. However, the midday meals served in their royal kitchens are surprisingly relatable.

What Kate Middleton has for lunch

The wife of Prince William it is said that he prefers meatless dishes for lunch.

During her royal tour of India with William, Taj Mahal Palace chef Raghu Deora revealed he served a lunch of vegetable skewers and lentil curry for the couple. “It’s all vegetarian because I was told that’s what they prefer,” he explained.

The monarch was believed to have kept things simple for lunch, often enjoying a plate of fish and vegetables.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady told House and Garden that a typical lunch for the late Queen would be Dover sole on a bed of wilted spinach. The royal reportedly avoided starchy foods such as pasta and potatoes when eating alone.

We also know that the monarch ate the occasional sandwich, and her favorite was the cucumber-stuffed tuna mayonnaise. However, she would have hated eating the scabs. Former royal chef Owen Hodgson recalled to the Telegraph: “A chef scolded me for serving the sandwiches with crusts.”

What the Countess of Wessex has for lunch

Looks like Sophia part of a BBQ lunch like the rest of us! During a rare and personal interview, the countess revealed that her children particularly love their father’s cooking.

Speaking of her husband, Prince Edward, she said: “He’s very good at barbecues and the kids love it. He takes our son fishing, does a lot of horse riding with our daughter, he is very committed as a father.”

What Meghan Markle has for lunch

Megane is a healthy eater who allows herself a treat from time to time.

Meghan said she is normally hungrier at lunchtime, so she usually enjoys a heavier meal, followed by a lighter dinner. Some of her other favorite lunches include sashimi or salads.

What Princess Beatrice has for lunch

Nutritionist Gabriela Peacock helped Beatrice preparing for her wedding and gave an overview of the meals she recommends to her clients, such as “lean sources of protein, vegetables and whole grains” for the lunch.

A well-balanced example would be vegetables with chicken, tofu, or fish, and quinoa, brown rice, or sweet potato. She added that it’s a good idea to make your own salad dressing like apple cider vinegar and fresh herbs, as store-bought products are often high in salt and preservatives.

What the queen consort has for lunch

Eating organic is extremely important to Charles and Camillawhich is evident in the wide range of produce grown at their country home in Highgrove.

On a previous visit to Singapore, Camilla explained how crucial healthy eating is and revealed that she aims to eat as many good fats as possible, such as avocados, fish and almondsaccording Wife and home magazine.

Camilla’s lunches are therefore likely to be filled with salads and fresh, organic fish.

What Zara Tindall has for lunch

Zara is so down to earth when it comes to his meals. In an interview with the Sunday magazineshe revealed: “Lunch is quick and easy, like soup and a sandwich or eggs and toast. I don’t diet but I try to eat well and not eat too many carbs or sugary things.”

Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter loves healthy options for her lunch.

While working at The Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Soho, she went to the nearby Detox Kitchen, which was very popular at lunchtime. “They make the best food, all healthy. There is often a queue outside,” she said.

We got a glimpse of Sarah‘s lunchtimes recently when his assistant Antonia Marshall shared a photo on her Instagram account.

In the snap, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife could be seen smiling as she whipped up some cucumber and egg mayonnaise sandwiches.

Additionally, the photo gave a glimpse of Sarah’s modern kitchen in her home at Royal Lodge, Windsor, which featured wooden paneling and indoor plants for decoration.

What Princess Anne has for lunch

Princess Anne previously revealed to country life magazine that his favorite dish is deviled pheasant. The unusual recipe involves poaching whole pheasants, shredding the meat and keeping it warm in the poaching juices. Add freshly whipped cream (left in the fridge for an hour) and a generous amount of Green Label Mango Chutney – and you’re done!

Anne is also known to be a fruit lover, but she is very particular about how it is served. Darren McGrady has explained in the past: “Princess Anne has almost always preferred bananas that are almost black – overripe – because they are easier to digest.”
