Falls Overlook Cafe’s BCB Burger

Every January, Sioux Falls transforms into a burger lover’s paradise as a number of establishments pull out all the stops for the annual Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle.

To say the idea has caught on is an incredible understatement, as a record number of restaurants are vying for the top burger crown in 2023.

Each of the 32 burgers is ranked by the public in five different categories:

Our last stop is the Falls Overlook Cafe at Falls Park for the “BCB Burger”.

Here is the official description of the burger:

6oz Beef Chuck Patty, topped with Stensland Family Farms melted Colby jack and garlic cheese curds, pineapple salsa, arugula, bacon bourbon sauce and chipotle aioli on a toasted pretzel bun – served with kettle chips.

Even before you take your first bite, it has a lot to offer.

Let’s start with one of my favorite things – a delicious pretzel bun.

The other big highlight is the abundance of Stensland cheese in the form of a giant garlic curd and Colby jack sitting right on top of the burger.

Hidden inside is pineapple salsa, which has just the right balance of sweet and spicy. It makes it a little messy, which might make it a bit of a challenge to do, but it’s worth it.

8 oz. hand cut Angus burger topped with cheese curds and gyro meat strips. Toppings include lettuce, pickled tomatoes and caramelized peppers/onions. All finished with our signature blend of taziki and ranch dressing. It is served with freshly cut fried potatoes.

6oz Certified Angus Beef, House-Ranch Bacon, Smoked Cheddar, Fried Chicken Skins, Butter Leaf Lettuce, House-Buffalo Ranch, Look’s Brioche.

8oz fresh ground buffalo burger topped with beef bacon, cheddar, provolone and Boursin cheese on a bed of shredded lettuce, tomato and pickles, drizzled with Sriracha Ranch. Served with home cut fries.

A 1/3 lb. All beef patty topped with hand-cut beef and lamb gyros, tzatziki sauce, grilled onions and American cheese on a grilled brioche bun – the perfect burger for Hermes, God of Meat and Son of Zeus. Served with a side of feta cheese topped with fries.

Tajin Crusted Angus Beef, Roasted Black Beans, Plancha Roasted Pork Carnitas, Pepper Jack Cheese, Escabeche (Mexican Pickles), Avocado Cream and Sabroso! It is served with the side dish of your choice.

Bagel bun, beef bun, red pepper jam, arugula, jalapeño bacon and black truffle cheese. Finished with Truffle Parmesan chips.

DaDa’s hot take on an Italian Burger; Beef meatball, homemade Giardiniera and cheese!

100% Local Wangus Beef Burger topped with Candied Beef Bacon, Smoked Gouda, Grilled Caramelized Onions and Honey Mustard Grilled Fresno Pepper Coleslaw. It is served with a side of fried potatoes.

Fresh ground chuck burger in a 5oz bun. Topped with a chipotle berry compote, peanut butter, American cheese and jalapeno bacon on a brioche bun. It is served with the side dish of your choice.

Italian for “Remedy,” our take on an Italian beef consists of a locally sourced Wagyu beef patty from Dimock, SD, seasoned with a house blend of herbs and spices, marrow aioli, thinly sliced ​​Nappa, cheddar cheese and giardiniera. a toasted Cheddar Breadsmith bun. Served with a side of seasoned chips and au jus made with Remedy Amber Ale.
