As Valentine’s Day approaches, an Italian company is letting foodies talk lyrically about their greatest love: pasta.

If you like carbs, then this contest to win a trip to Italy is for you.

Barilla, the world’s largest pasta producer, offers a couple the chance to spend a romantic getaway in two stunning Italian cities.

The food company has also introduced a limited-edition pasta shape in time for the holidays.

Here’s how to enter the contest for an unforgettable getaway to Italy.

Win a limited edition box of pasta

Barilla launched exclusive heart-shaped pasta in time for Valentine’s Day. Named “Barilla Love”, the new cut hopes to “bring loved ones together in the kitchen”.

Pasta is serious business in Italy, and the company notes that the “Barilla Love” shape is inspired by the iconic half rigatoni “which offers ridges to improve sauce retention.”

Barilla has launched a contest where pasta fans can win a box of the limited-edition shape as part of the Barilla Love Pasta kit.

“Each shape of dough has a story. For us, reinventing our iconic Blue Box pasta line to include this charming shape is another way for pasta lovers to celebrate their love for each other and their love of pasta,” said Melissa Tendick, Vice President of Marketing, Barilla Americas.

“There’s no better way to show you care than by cooking, and we can’t wait to see our fans create authentic and delicious Italian dishes at home for Valentine’s Day.”

The gift box also includes pasta-themed Valentine’s Day cards and ingredients for a romantic dinner.

How to win a free trip to Italy

Entrants also have the chance to win a pasta-filled holiday in Italy.

Barilla is asking fans to fill out a submission form and share how their pasta “brings them closer to loved ones.”

One lucky couple will be chosen to fly off on a romantic trip to Italy. Price includes round-trip airfare for two, hotel accommodation and tours.

The winners will visit two art-filled cities – Parma and Florence – and eat “world-class meals”.

And, of course, there will be a lot of pasta involved.

So if you’re crazy about noodles, head over to the Barilla Love contest page and fill out the form before February 1st.
