Neighborhood Partnership Housing of Greater Springfield will be hosting an online homebuyer education class from 6-8pm today.

The course is taught by NHP staff and local experts. Topics include steps in the home buying process, building good credit, budgeting, home inspection, applying for a mortgage loan, working with a relator, avoiding predatory lenders and more.

The monthly community blood drive for First Christian Church of Springfield will be held from 12:30-6:30 pm today at 3638 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield.

Everyone who registers to donate will receive a special edition “Give Blood, Give Love” long sleeve hoodie and will be automatically entered into the Super Bowl LVII drawing to win a $50 gift card. Everyone who registers to donate from January 16th to 31st will be entered into a drawing and 57 winners will be selected.

Clark State College will continue to offer ISO 9001 training, which provides companies with the opportunity to implement the ISO 9001 system in just 12 weeks (one day per week). Training will be available at or approximately all Clark State locations for $9,500 for any size business.

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a Quality Management System (“QMS”). In order to obtain ISO 9001 certification, a company must follow the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001 standard. Organizations use the standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and demonstrate continuous improvement

The next training consortium will start on Thursday and run through April 13th.
