The cake itself is a chocolate swiss roll that has been frozen and then rolled into a light and fluffy vanilla sponge cake with a layer of sweet cream filling. The exterior of the roll is a light blue color, similar to Poliwag’s skin tone, while the interior of the cake features Poliwag’s signature swirl pattern, made from dark cocoa. Finally, to complete the Poliwag look, the Pokémon’s eyes and mouth were made from another piece of cake that was cut separately and attached before rolling it up.
