6 Bangkok restaurants are successful
The 51-100 list of Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants 2023 was announced today. There are 17 new names on the list. The announcement comes days before the grand reveal of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 ceremony, which will be unveiled on March 28 in Singapore. There are 6 Bangkok restaurants on the 51-100 list, including some notable newcomers.
William Drew, Content Director at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, said, “This is the third year we’ve announced the 51-100 list as a precursor to the big countdown. It’s really exciting to see the ever-expanding showcase of culinary excellence in Asia. We hope the expanded list of 17 new entries and 17 cities will provide additional inspiration for gourmets around the world once again as they embark on their gastro-travel program.”
The highest rank achieved by a newcomer on the 51-100 list is Bukhara from New Delhi, which positions itself at 52nd place.
The final list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 will be announced on March 28 at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Asia’s premier lifestyle destination, in Singapore. The award ceremony will also be broadcast live on their official Facebook accounts and YouTube channels.

Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants 2023 51-100 list: Hong Kong leads the list with 8 restaurants, followed by Bangkok with six entries
One of the 17 new entries this year is from India – Ekaa, Mumbai. Other Indian restaurants on the list include Bukhara at 52, Americano at 66, and The Table at 78.
Hong Kong’s Yong Fu restaurant serving Jiangnan cuisine ranks 54th, followed by Ando at 61st and Estro at 62nd.
A total of six restaurants from Tokyo, Japan entered the list. Three new restaurants follow L’évo at No.60: Esquisse at number 67, The Pizza Bar at number 38 and Hommage at number 91, respectively.
Making its debut in Singapore’s 51-100 rankings are Nae:um (No.83), serving modern Korean cuisine, and Julien Royer’s French neo-brasserie Claudine, ranking 85th. The well-established Cantonese restaurant is located at Summer Pavilion, No.86.
Beijing’s Ling Long and Shanghai’s Meet the Bund also entered the list at number 89. Bangkok’s new restaurants, Côte by Mauro Colagreco, are at number 71 and Wana Yook at number 72.
It is Seoul, South Korea, that determines its presence on the list in three places. Joo Ok No.51 arrived at 7pearl Door number. At 55 and at No.68 of the newly entrenched Etanic Garden at Josun Palace.
Interestingly, Jakarta, represented by August, is the winner of the American Express One To Watch Award 2023 and ranks 95th.
