SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Rodeo season in San Antonio is once again underway with the second annual season. Southside Vaquero Breakfast Friday morning, January 27, free food and live music Texas Latin, Desperado, Chente Barreraand so on. at the Far West Event Center.
The event began in 2022 when the COVID-19 pandemic limited attendance at the annual Cowboy Breakfast, traditionally held on San Antonio’s North Side. Lopez Entertainment decided to organize an event on the south side for those who want to enjoy a free breakfast with live entertainment.
CEO/President of Lopez Entertainment Rudy Lopez and presented the idea of ββthe story Tejano nation, “Why not do something on the South Side?” I called it the Vaquero Breakfast to make it truly Southern. A true south side breakfast, traditional breakfast tacos, pan de dulce, coffee of course, and I think we’ll even have tamales and menudos.
Lopez Entertainment is continuing this new tradition on San Antonio’s South Side by canceling the annual Cowboy Breakfast for 2023 after organizers were unable to meet the timeline to pull together the logistics for a separate annual event.
The second annual Southside Vaquero Breakfast will be held from 6 to 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Far West Event Center, 2502 Pleasanton Road. The event also includes a pop-up market with many vendors selling products and attendees can do a little shopping. . Additional performers included El Dorado Group, Marcus Daniels, Villarreal, Mario Moreno, Cheyenne Saenzand so on.
