2 Minnesota companies team up for a salsa-inspired beer!

The biggest football match of the year will be here before you know it on February 12th. Speaking of the Super Bowl. You know the elusive game the Minnesota Vikings never won. Only two out of 32 teams get to compete for the title, but millions tune in and bet even more show up to parties to enjoy the food and drink. I know I do and I’m already planning what exactly I should do.

Despite never having seen my team play, I always celebrate the big game in one way or another and it’s usually by feeding my face some of the best food you can imagine and accompanying it with a beverage of your choice. This year, you could uniquely combine your favorite football pastime of drinking and dining with a beer invented by two Minnesota companies; Modist Brewing and Hormel.

Announced this morning, January 24, in a tweet:

Beer called “Hormel Chili Cheese Brew” can be found and purchased online at and they share it:

Yes, this madness is real.

The goodness of HORMEL® Chili Cheese Dip comes to life in beer form. Pair your dips with sips when you grab a 4-pack of this chilli-cheese spiced beer.

It’s time for the dip, ya’ll.

A four pack will get you going $24.93 and that includes shipping and tax and note that it states “orders will be fulfilled in the order they are received due to limited stock“. So I would suggest getting it while you can!

WATCH: The best beers from each state

To find the best beer in every state and Washington DC, Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that collects user scores for real-time beer. BeerAdvocate makes its decisions by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington DC and applying a weighted ranking to each. Weighted rank moves the beer towards the average of the list based on the number of ratings it has, and aims to allow lesser-known beers to move up the ranks. Only beers with at least 10 classifications are to be considered; we went one step further to only include beers with at least 100 user ratings in our gallery. Read on to find out which is the best beer in each of the 50 states and Washington DC
