  1. Long Island Railroad trains will bring riders to Grand Central in Midtown for the first time Wednesday, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced. The project, known as East Side Access, has been in the works for decades. (New York City Patch)
  2. Speaking of public transit, the MTA is expanding a pilot program that allows strollers to remain open on 1,000 city buses (1/6 of the entire fleet)., after receiving a positive response. (New York City Patch)
  3. Mayor Eric Adams wants New Yorkers of all backgrounds and communities to dine together. In a new program called “Break Bread, Make Connections,” 1,000 New Yorkers will receive a meal reimbursed by a nonprofit organization.   4. A former Columbia University gynecologist was found guilty by a jury on federal sex trafficking charges on Tuesday. after a two-week trial in which nine former patients testified about their experiences. (Gothic)
  5. City jails are dangerous for transgender inmates. Lawyers at the Legal Aid Society are under fire after a report by THE CITY revealed a dedicated unit dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community has been left on the sidelines. Transgender women are allegedly being housed in dangerous all-male wards by the current prison commissioner. (New York City Patch)
